A Telemedicine Appointment

Telemedicine connects you to a doctor via video to improve access to timely care.

During your visit you’ll see and hear your doctor on a screen and be able to communicate with them.

What to Expect during a Telemedicine Appointment

A telemedicine visit is similar to a regular visit with a doctor, except the doctor you will be seeing and speaking with is on a screen.

It’s important to have a list of your current medications.

Telemedicine Privacy & Confidentiality
Your telemedicine appointment will be private and confidential just like a regular doctor’s visit. It can only be seen and heard by the health care professionals involved.

Who Pays for a Telemedicine Appointment
If you are covered under the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) you will not be billed. If you do not have OHIP, there is a cost to the appointment.
